Celebrating EWS Sixth Form voices: A new podcast episode

We’re incredibly proud to share a new podcast created by EWS Sixth Form students James and Daniel, who lead a thoughtful and engaging conversation with Dr Johnny Wake from Courteenhall Estate.

In this episode, James and Daniel guide the discussion with maturity and curiosity — exploring sustainable farming, environmental responsibility and the future of rural careers. They draw out reflections on leadership, land stewardship and long-term thinking, offering listeners a fresh perspective shaped by the questions young people are asking today.

This project is especially meaningful to us as we continue to deepen our partnership with Elizabeth Woodville School. We were delighted to support the school with a financial contribution to help towards establishing their new podcast facility — a space designed to spark creativity, strengthen communication skills and give young people the tools to share their stories with confidence.

EWS plays an important role in our local community, nurturing ambition and providing opportunities for students to thrive both in the classroom and beyond. Seeing students make the most of this new resource, and use it to explore topics that matter to them and their future, has been incredibly inspiring.

It’s a fantastic listen for anyone interested in sustainability, modern farming or the impressive work of local students stepping into their futures with confidence.
