Courteenhall Estate is pleased to support the important work being done by Northamptonshire Community Foundation in ‘Shining a Spotlight on Rural Community Needs’ with a donation to their campaign.

The campaign, which runs throughout 2023, aims to champion and support rural communities across the county, ensuring that they get their fair share of funding to help tackle urgent needs such as poverty and access to services.

A recent report for the Rural Services Network revealed how the cost-of-living crisis is impacting people living in rural areas harder than those living in towns and cities. The report also showed that people who live in the countryside have to pay more on essentials including heating, housing and transport.

As a family business that is deeply rooted in the local rural community, we want to do our small bit to support this campaign. It highlights an inequality that stretches across multiple aspects of living and that is glaring when you take a step back to truly consider it.

Northamptonshire Community Foundation is the leading independent grant making charity in the county. One of 47 Community Foundations across the UK, it delivers a variety of funding for the local voluntary and community sector, awarding grands of over £1 million annually.

Child poverty, unemployment, homelessness, domestic violence and social isolation are just some of the issues it strives to tackle each year.
