Good Business Charter

1st Apr 2021

Courteenhall are delighted to announce that we are now an accredited member of the Good Business Charter.

The Good Business Charter encourages responsible business behaviour, with commitments including paying the real living wage, fair hours and contracts, employee well-being and inclusion, environmental responsibility and customer satisfaction.

The Courteenhall mission statement already echoes these commitments:

To achieve business excellence and environmental sustainability

In order to fulfil this, we make use of renewable energy such as solar, wind and ground source heat pumps across the Estate. You can find out more about this on our Championing Renewable Energy page.

We also use controlled traffic farming and minimum tillage, whilst also reducing the use of spray chemicals such as insecticides and fertilisers; you can read more about this on our Farming page.

Courteenhall recognises that our employees are our biggest asset and their happiness and well-being are really important to us. As well as offering training opportunities, we also hold regular staff events and encourage employees to head outdoors and explore the Estate grounds.

We would like to encourage all businesses to take a look at the Good Business Charter and promote good business practice.
