Like most businesses, we recognise the importance of being a valuable member of our community.
At Courteenhall Estate, the importance seems even more compelling. We’re a business that has been in the same place under the stewardship of the Wake family for over 350 years.
We feel a debt and an obligation to the local community and see community as a vital part of what being sustainable means for our business.
Corporate Social Responsibility is something that has always happened at Courteenhall and we work with some truly amazing people and organisations, trying to fulfil aims like bridging the urban-rural divide, helping local charities in ways beyond just giving money, and focusing on education, especially those who may be getting left behind.
CSR for Courteenhall is also about environmental sustainability, community and being an ethical business.
After all, we plan to be stewarding the land here in another 350 years and, in order to do that, we need to preserve and enhance our environmental assets, remain a viable and aspirational business, and retain the support of the local community.
