Courteenhall to give keynote address at Transition Live

30th Apr 2024

We’re looking forward to taking part in the Farmers Weekly’s Transition Live event next month.

The event, which is taking place on May 9 at Cambridge University’s mixed, arable and dairy farm, is part of Farmers Weekly’s Transition initiative, which looks at how farmers can make their business more financially and environmentally sustainable.

There will be a series of talks and panel discussions on key food production, policy and environmental issues facing British farmers.

Dr Johnny Wake, Managing Partner at Courteenhall Farms, has been invited to be a headline speaker at the event, which is expected to be attended by hundreds of farmers and growers.

He will give a talk about land use change and managing capital, cash and tax.

Other talks and panel discussions during the afternoon will include: how to generate an income from natural capital on your farm; carbon farming and how to get it right; adding value through collaboration; optimising margins in arable; and how to take risk out of your farm business, amongst others.
