Courteenhall Estate to host open farm event on Saturday 11th June 2022

19th May 2022

On Saturday 11th June between 1pm and 4pm, Courteenhall Estate will play host to an open farm event, in support of the Linking Environment and Food (LEAF) Open Farm Sunday initiative.

Whilst being held on the Saturday as opposed to the official Open Farm Sunday the following day, this is to coincide with the Courteenhall Church Fete and Open Gardens happening at the same time.

During your visit you can expect to see the arable farm and some machinery to gain an understanding of how we work day to day, whilst adopting a regenerative farming practice.

In addition, we have recently welcomed back traditional Hereford cattle to the parkland on the estate which will start our small suckler beef herd.

Tractor and trailer rides will be available, and the event will run in conjunction with Courteenhall Church Fete, with stalls such as tombola, cakes and bric-a-brac.

Courteenhall is a traditional, rural estate located in South Northamptonshire, with the main business activities being Farming, Property Management, Renewable energy, Events, Filming & Photoshoots.

Courteenhall Farms are a progressive arable operation stretching across 850ha. The main cropping rotation consists of Winter Wheat, Oil Seed Rape and Pulses. Courteenhall takes great pride in the quality and performance of its farming operation.

At present the estate is in the process of upgrading into the Higher Tier Stewardship scheme, which involves growing areas of plants purely for nature.

A fun day out for all the family is promised, so we hope that you’ll be able to join us for the occasion.

Please would visitors book via email at info@courteenhall.co.uk so we can anticipate numbers
