Courteenhall Estate Introduction
Courteenhall is a traditional rural Estate situated just south of Northampton in the English Midlands.
The Estate has been the home to the Wake Family for many generations with Charles and Joan Wake, who live in the principal house, presently responsible for stewardship of the Estate.
The principal house, Courteenhall, was built in the late 18th Century and sits in a fine Parkland setting designed by Humphry Repton. The small village of Courteenhall lies nearby and remains largely owned by the Estate.
The main activities on the Estate are Farming and Property management. A large number of residential and commercial properties which would have traditionally been used by the Estate are now available for others to use. In recent times the Park has made a wonderful setting for the occasional wedding and further approaches to share this special venue will be considered.
The Estate’s close proximity to the expanding town of Northampton brings a number of challenges and opportunities which the Estate strives to meet.
